It is impossible to cater for all tastes and requirements, but if you have an office and want a fast, reliable and high quality printer at a great price, at $120 this is a great option. The printer is targeted at small to large business offices that want a great printer at a low price. This version is a rework of the CLP 510s with improvements on the chip, rate of pages per minute printing, both mono and color and some small hardware updates.

Make no mistake that this printer is aimed at business. Probably for small to medium business that do not want to have to walk down to the printer shop every time a brochure needs to be made. As long as you are not expecting perfect photo quality you will love this beast.

It is a large printer. The package you will have delivered to your office, or that you pick up from the shop will weigh around 88 pounds. The package comes with four toners (color and mono) and a guide book.

So what’s new in this version of the Samsungs CLP 510n printer? Not much, except higher speed, both in the printing and processing sides of the equation. The older model printed 21 pages a minute, now you can print 25; color printing was at 5 pages a minute while now it is 7. This is a considerable improvement on an already quick printer. A great feature of this printer is its duplexing capabilities. This term refers to the capability of double-sided printing without the user having to do anything. Just tell the printer what you want and it will take care of everything. Previous models required the user to stack the pages, turn them round and reinsert them in the feeder. This capability will save you cash in toner, paper usage and time.

The other big change from the previous models is its chip. The PowerPC processor of previous models has been changed to a Samsung SPGPm processor. However, the previous models could hold nearly twice the amount of RAM and were one decibel quieter. The change in the price tag had to be felt somewhere I guess. It is worth remembering that this printer only costs $120.

Image resolution is very good, however, this is not a photo lab printer and your pictures will not look exactly like photographs.
