Moscow – Enjoy The Grandeur Of Russia’s Capital Jul 29

The tall, colorful swirling domes and spires are common images when thinking about Russia. Moscow, the capital of Russia, is the biggest city in Europe and is not the political, financial, economic, and educational hub of Moscow, but an important hub of Europe as well. As you might imagine, a trip to this impressive city will never leave you bored. You will have to get a U.S. passport before you go to Russia, and if you need to get yours, start online.

As one might imagine, the thought of getting a passport online can be worrisome. However, these websites are licensed by the US Department of State and are not only official, but very secure. Online passport services can get you anything from an emergency USA passport renewal to a passport replacement to a passport for your children, and they can do it in the shortest amount of time as well.

Trying to decide where to start in the largest city in Europe is no easy feat. If you are stuck trying to decide just where to begin your adventures in Moscow, try the Red Square, as it is an excellent representation of much of what Moscow is. Located right in the middle of the city, it is a site containing some of Russia’s most important historical landmarks, including the absolutely breathtaking St. Basil’s Cathedral, Lenin’s Mausoleum, where the body of Vladimir Lenin’s embalmed body is on display, and the interesting State History Museum. GUM, Russia’s largest department store, is also located in the Red Square. The Red Square was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and is one of the largest public squares in the world.

The Kremlin, an area rather similar to the Red Square, is another UNESCO World Heritage Site full of landmarks and interesting things to see. A kremlin is a Russian citadel, and the Kremlin is the most important of them all, as it is the residence of the President of Russia. This walled and fortified compound is right on the Moskva River, and it contains four palaces, four cathedrals, many tall towers, and more, including the Armory, a museum displaying Russia’s national treasures. Inside is a breathtaking precious stones exhibit you can’t miss. Be sure to also see the monstrous cannon and bell as well.

Old Arbat Street is a great place to take a stroll and look for souvenirs. This cobblestone road is full out quaint outside cafes, street performers, artists, and little stores. While there are many vendors selling cheap and garish souvenirs, there are some stores that offer high-quality, fairly-priced items to bring back home.

The Moscow Zoo is the biggest and oldest zoo in Russia, and it has been around for 100 years. Featuring more than a thousand different animal species, it’s a great place to spend some time during your trip.

There is no shortage of reasons why people love visiting Moscow. Being surrounded by the magnificent architecture, witnessing all-encompassing power and grandeur of places like the Red Square and the Kremlin, and experiencing its deep base is history has no match. The Most Intriguing Attractions In The City Of Barcelona Jan 13

Barcelona is a unique city that combines two qualities that many vacationers look for: beautiful beaches and the European city feel. As the second largest city in Spain, Barcelona is a cosmopolitan city that focuses on modernity while still keeping undertones from it’s 2000 year long history. The city is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, meaning the beautiful blue water is never very far away. If Barcelona is a place that you are thinking about visiting, be sure to get your pasport first.

If you go online to get your passport, not only will the entire process be easier, but you will get your passport quicker, too. Online passport expediting services are there for people who need their passport sooner than the traditional process allows, and they can get you your passport or passport replacement in anywhere from one day to two weeks, depending on how soon you need yours.

Barcelona, like many big cities, is divided into many districts. Each of these districts is different from the last and has its own unique atmosphere. The Old Town District in Barcelona is referred to as Ciutat Vella. Within this district is Barri Gotic, the Gothic Quarter. The Gothic Quarter is a place that is perfect for walking; the delightful narrow streets and stunning Gothic architecture are things that really set the mood in Barcelona. Also located in Ciutat Vella is Las Ramblas. Las Ramblas is the most famous street in all of Barcelona, thanks to its living atmosphere. Street performers are always performing, and there are plenty of restaurants and places to shop. Eixample is another district in Barcelona. Famous for its art nouveau buildings, Eixample is a great representative of Barcelona as a whole. Gracia is a very cosmopolitan district, and Barceloneta is home to the stunning beaches and oceanfront cafes.

To the north of Barcelona is Tibidabo, a very tall mountain. This mountain offers the best view of Barcelona. On the mountaintop, there is an old church that is fun to explore. There is a legend that says Satan tried to tempt Jesus with the whole world. The mountain is accessible by either tram or on foot. Both methods give you a great view of the mountain. Montjuic is another mountain from which to view the city. You can take a cable car ride to the top of Montjuic, which is fun in itself. Montserrat is yet another mountain that features more history. On Montserrat is an ancient monastery. There are also a variety of hiking trails if you feel like exploring even more.

Some attractions in Barcelona are within a short distance of each other. La Sagrada and Hospital de Sant Pau are some landmarks you definitely do not want to miss, and they are within a few minutes’ walk of each other. La Sagrada is easily the top attraction in the city. This Roman Catholic Basilica has yet to be finished. The architect commissioned to build the church died before it could be completed, and on the hundred year anniversary of his death, the construction will finally be finished. Hospital de Sant Pau is a hospital that still is in operation. It is a great example of the modernist movement in Barcelona.

Depending on what sorts of things you like to do, there is plenty to grab your interest in Barcelona. Be sure to visit some of the famous art museums, including the Dali museum, and eat some famous Spanish food as well. The nightlife has a reputation for being excellent, and the beaches are a great place to soak up the sun. Just don’t forget your passport. Go online to get yours, where they can handle things like getting a U.S. passport replacement or renewal.

Child Custody Arrangements And U.S. Passports – What Are The Legal Issues That May Arise? Dec 12

It is certainly a sign of the times that U.S. passports for children are being harder to get but this really isn’t all bad. The numbers of children who are being abducted by parents is on the rise as is the divorce rate in homes with children. Passports can actually be used as a tool to create division between a parent and a child so in a difficult divorce, passports can become weapons. A law has been created to protect both parents as well as the child when child support is withheld and yet a costly vacation is planned.

In Section 51.70 (a) (8) of Title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, you will find outlined that if a parent owing more than $2500 is prohibited from purchasing a passport. With numerous parents unable to collect rightly owed child support, this law can certainly be a benefit when getting passports is involved.

When a parent who attempts to apply for a passport for their child is found on the list of those who are neglecting to pay their child support, they are referred to their local county probation agency and must arrange to make payment. No further action will be taking regarding the acquisition of the child’s passport until the US Department of Health and Human Services receives proof that payment has been made. They, in turn, notify the State Child Support Enforcement Agency that payment has been made and they, in turn, notify the Department of State who remove the payer’s and their child’s name from the list of those to have passports withheld.

Many other laws exist that aim to help enforce safety when it comes to children getting passports. One of these is the Two Parent Consent Law. This law, enacted in 2008, requires that both parents give their consent when applying for a passport. The Children’s Passport Issuance Alert Program, or CPIAP, is another service established to protect children. This program lets the parents or guardians know that a passport has been filed for their child before the passport is actually issued. The Office of Children’s Issues charges itself with providing information to foreign countries and creates programs and policies in order to track down parents who have abducted their child.

As you can see, several agencies and programs have been put into place to aid in the protection of children and their parents when it comes to the acquisition of passports for children. Perhaps these laws will lead to other legislation to help enforce the payment of court ordered child support making it harder for the neglectful payer to leave town or even the country.

US Passport Information Could Be Great To Understand Apr 30

Not too long ago, a passport was not necessarily required for travel between many countries. Things have changed a great deal in the last decade or so, and now a passport is needed for almost every international destination. United States territories, of course, do not require a passport, but almost every other country does. The passport information below should help ease the process for you.

A recent development is the passport card. This wallet-sized card is less expensive than a passport book, or traditional passport. However, it can only be used for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, and certain nations in the Caribbean. It cannot be used for international air travel. In addition, some countries may require additional documentation. Therefore, you need to check the specific requirements of your destination before deciding whether this will suffice for your trip.

In most cases, international travelers need a traditional passport book. This has long been the standard requirement for travel across borders. If you already have a passport and meet all of the requirements, you might be able to get a renewal passport through the mail. It will, however, be necessary to apply in person if this is your first passport or if your old one was issued more than 15 years previously. Personal applications can be made at most post offices and many county offices. These locations are usually more convenient than the regional agencies that the government operates.

Regardless of whether this is a new passport or a renewal, you will need to provide proof of your identity and citizenship. You will have to provide two identical color photographs of sufficient quality. Background and size restrictions also apply. The pictures taken in booths such as you find at the mall are inadequate. Many post offices are equipped to take the photos, and many businesses or stores can also provide them for you.

Summer is the busiest time for passport issuance, and during that time it may take up to 3 months to get your passport. You should plan to make your application in plenty of time to receive it well ahead of your scheduled departure. Even during off-peak times, it can still take a month to a month and a half for processing. If you need to trim about half of the wait time from your passport application, you can pay an expedited services fee.

Once you are on your trip, be sure and protect your passport. Should it be stolen or lost while in a foreign country, contact the American consul or embassy at once. They can provide a temporary passport or documentation to leave the nation and return to the U.S. This can be a time consuming and frustrating process, so it is naturally best to avoid it.

Anyone who is behind with payments for child support can have a passport application rejected. Children involved in custody disputes may not be permitted to leave the country. In most cases, each parent must approve the application for the child’s passport. This can sometimes be waived if a parent can provide a court decree granting full custody of the child. Everyone must have his or her own passport, from infancy on. The proofs required for a child are the same as for an adult when it comes to establishing citizenship. In addition, the adult must offer proof of his or her relationship.

If an emergency arises that requires you to travel immediately, you can apply in person at a regional passport agency. You will need to furnish the usual documentation for a passport, but you will also have to document the emergency. In the event of the death of a relative, for example, you might have to produce a death certificate. You may also have to prove your relationship to the deceased.

The pass port information has changed drastically in the past decade. If you are planning to travel abroad, things will go much more smoothly if you do a bit of research. Examine the precise requirements of the country to which you will be traveling. Make your American passport application well in advance of your scheduled departure. If applying by mail, be sure you include everything required. This should all make it faster and less frustrating to receive your passport.

Detailed US Passport Information Has Been Available Feb 19

The time has passed when citizens could cross many international borders without the need of a passport. Once, a quick trip to Mexico or Aruba required nothing more than a valid driver’s license and sometimes your birth certificate. They still are not needed for travel to a U.S. Territory, but they are required for almost every other nation. Changes in the law means that there is now much more passport information travelers should know.

One new advance is the passport card. It fits in your wallet and is not as expensive as a passport book, which is the traditional passport form. It is only valid for travel to and from Canada, Mexico, and most of the Caribbean nations. It is also not valid for international travel by air, and is useful only for sea or land entry across borders. It may also not be adequate for every nation, as some may ask for additional documents. It is best to check your specific destination before choosing this for your upcoming trip.

A traditional passport is still required for most international destinations and for all international flights. It may be possible to renew your passport via mail, if you meet the requirements. If you have never had a passport, or it has been longer than 15 years since it was issued, you must apply in person. There are several regional passport agencies, but most post offices and some country clerks also process passport applications.

Regardless of where or how you apply, you will need to provide proof of citizenship and identity. You must also provide two quality photographs in full color, and there are size and background requirements that apply. Vending machine photo booths cannot provide pictures that will meet the restrictions. Many post offices can provide the service, and so can a number of business stores that offer printing and shipping services.

You should plan your trip well in advance to allow time to receive a passport. When the passport office is at its busiest, the lead time can be 10 to 12 weeks. At minimum, they need 4 to 6 weeks when things are slow. If you wish, you can pay a fee to have your passport application expedited, which can cut wait time in half.

Parents who are behind on child support payments may be denied a passport. Also, a parent may not be allowed to take a child out of the country if there is a custody dispute pending. Both parents must also sign the passport application for a child, unless one parent has a court order establishing sole custody. All children, even infants, must have their own passports. The types of documentation are similar, and include proof of citizenship. The parent or guardian must also provide proof of relationship to the child.

Emergency passports can be obtained from regional passport agencies. Applications are only accepted in person. The situation must be a genuine emergency that requires you to travel immediately. You will have to provide the normal documentation, but will also have to provide proof of the emergency. An official death certificate or other acceptable notice may be needed which states what the emergency is and how it relates to you.

With the many changes in U.S. passport information that are continuously occurring, it is always best to verify the most current information, particularly the requirements of your destination. Be sure to make your US passport application in time to meet your departure schedule. And if you are mailing in an application for a renewal, double check that you have included everything requested. These simple steps should make it much less stressful to obtain your passport.
